The room was not ready and did not appear to be ready for a long time. Staff apologizes and gave me another room that both myself and the maid could not open the door. In frustration I requested my original room and would wait until cleaned. Dropped luggage in room and found ants on the cooling unit. Needless to say that was the straw that broke the camels back. I cancelled my reservation and found another hotel.

Hotel was basically clean and no real complaints . . . but it SO NEEDS A MAKEOVER. It's time to redecorate and put in new carpet, bath, drapes, etc.. At some point you can't get it clean. How long since the carpets were actually cleaned? Front desk was efficient, but not particularly warm & friendly. It was almost as if the clients were a bother.

It was fine. Clean and the bed was comfortable. We seemed to be in a room with extra cast off furniture.
